Jess aka “the girl from the lake” is Jess’ (JABB member) fictional counterpart. Although the names are exactly the same there are many things that Jess does and loves that perhaps real Jess has no time for.

Jess has lived in many places, as she loves to find new camping places, but now resides at Lazy Lake in Ilios, Dyeland. Jess has lived a basically normal life after realizing her dream of fishing everywhere in the world. While trekking she came across the loveliness that is Dyeland and decided that it had lovely waters to reside by and fish to her heart's content. Now you need to realize something about Jess’ passion for fishing: it is exactly that, the fishing and not the fish. She loves floating around on the water with her fishing rod in one hand and her hat tipped over her eyes, but she never tries to really catch the fish. And if she does catch the fish she lets them go cause she loves the art of fishing, not the sport of it.  

When Jess isn’t fishing she enjoys writing fanfiction for Dyeland’s main fanfic site, baking cookies for any visitor that stops by the cabin, sipping a mocha with Monica at the café, and, of course, watching and reading anything with the company of Andrew (with a healthy helping of ginger ale and orange juice).

Although originally residing in Dyeland for the access of more fishing areas, Jess has met so many amazing people in Dyeland and has had the ability to be a part of some major events such as trials and movie trailer reviews and all the hard work as the leader of FAN (Free Andrew Now). Although this group was originally for exactly that (freeing Andrew) it has branched out to become a great group to organize any fundraisers here and around Dyeland.

Although Jess isn’t always free for chatting in the café or even at home in her cabin you can be certain she is off in any of Dyeland’s great bodies of waters floating in her boat (for hours and hours on end) with her fishing rod in one hand and her hat tipped over her eyes.
